Zachary T. Lowe
Chief Security Officer and President of WM Security Services

The founding member of the WM security team. Zack’s vision and influence combined to create a highly effective organization that includes:

  • Security Operations Center to control costs of security systems and operations, raise security and safety awareness and bring world class security standards and protections to WM
  • Background and drug testing unit - company wide pre-employment and onboard screening programs; due diligence inquiries
  • Information safeguards and computer forensic team
  • Security directors who support WM operations in critical areas – investigations, workplace violence, labor action and compliance

Prior to joining WM, Zack served in various increasingly responsible executive positions and offices over a thirty-year FBI career. When he retired in 2000 Zack was a member of the Senior Executive Service at FBI Headquarters.  He is actively involved and on the board of directors of the International Security Management Association (ISMA) the Houston Crime Stoppers, and chairman of the Conference Board's Council of Corporate Security Executives.

Sarah Conley
Physical Security Operations Director & Vice-President of WM Security Services

Sarah is responsible for WM physical security-related activities along with the management of the Security Operations Center and WM SSI. She joined WM in 2001 as security director for WM’s Southern Group. Previously Sarah was the principal of a full-service private investigation firm. Her public-sector career included Investigative positions with the Brooklyn New York District Attorney, New York City Housing Authority Inspector General and as a special agent with the FBI in Newark. New Jersey. Sarah graduated from St. John’s University, New York with a BS in Criminal Justice and earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security).

Shanna Lopez
Shanna is the operations manager for external and internal alarm monitoring accounts. Shanna came to Waste Management in 2005 from Baton Rouge, LA and has more than twelve years experience as a Central Station manager. She attended Louisiana State University and received her bachelor’s from Southeastern Louisiana University.Shanna has cost effectively handled the conversion of hundreds of accounts into our Central Station using an integrator network. She manages the Security Operations Center’s Underwriters Laboratories and Factory Mutual Certifications along with our award winning operator team.

Alex Aguilar
Alex is the manager of WM Security’s Technology and Project Management Group. Alex came to WM in 2004, a technology professional with extensive experience in advanced security applications, including closed circuit TV equipment and access control systems. Alex leads the Research & Development team at WM SSI. The R & D team is constantly evaluating new security components and applications for the challenging WM environment. All SSI customers benefit from this valuable experience. Alex has managed the rollout of over 800 security systems within WM.
